‘The power of doing things with intent and writing things down’
I wasn’t always spiritual. About 2 years ago, I took my annual girls trip with my best friend to Fiji, It was her birthday week so I wanted to treat her to something that she wanted to do which was skydiving. I had never been before or even put thought into it so when we decided to do it, we were all in. In the moment of freefall, it was the most blissful experience that I had ever experienced at that point. It was peace and comfort all in one. A few months later, after looking more into Islam, I decided to attend a Friday prayer and in the meantime, someone had said: “practice as if you believe and God will guide you.” When I arrived home, I immediately decided, I am going to pray 5 times a day and during one of the prayers, the overwhelming blissful experience I had from skydiving came over to me and I knew that was not a coincidence. After had traveled for about the past 6 months, I realized I left my important journal at home and after praying I decided to look through the journal, in there I had written “God guide me, show me where I’m supposed to be.” while I had about my journal, it truly showed the power of what happens when you write things down with intent and you have faith.
After figuring out myself spiritually, I then got married and I moved across pond to live with my husband. Being an entrepreneur and working from home and online – it was a huge adjustment to being newly married, acclimating to a new culture and staying disciplined with my work life as well.
Don’t let your fears overwhelm you, try new things, fail often and adjust fast. If you want to have an amazing personal life and an amazing work life it takes 10x the energy applied to each area. and it’s worth it!

Marilyn on the Sustainable Development Goals
I think that Gender Equality is the most important goal.
The more women have educated the double the brain power to solving problems, the better society becomes and the more the world thrives.
But I would like to contribute towards each one of the goals!
